CATERING SUPERVISOR (COOKING)

Location: Initially working at Westerton Primary Academy with potential to move around the Academies within the Trust

Hours: 37 hours per week

6.30am-2.30pm Monday to Thursday, 6.30am-2.00pm Friday

 Term Time Only (38 weeks per year + 59.2 hours/ 8 days)

Salary: £20,876 to £21,226 actual annual salary

Leodis Academies Trust is a successful Multi Academy Trust with five schools in the South Leeds area. As part of our continued growth we have an immediate opportunity for an enthusiastic Catering Supervisor (Cooking) to join the catering team. Reporting to the Trust’s Catering Manager and serving as an integral part to the central catering team, you will assist in the delivery of a high-quality catering service across the sites within the Trust. Contributing to the innovation of healthy menus, whilst responding to the needs to the Trust, this is a rewarding role for the right candidate.      

 

Who are we looking for?

 

Working alongside the Trust Catering Manager and Catering Supervisor (Standards) you will contribute to the planning of school menu’s, ensuring compliance to School Food Standards you will assist in the delivery of menu’s that are innovative and nutritious. Holding a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification, or a willingness to work towards, this is a development opportunity for the right candidate to use their knowledge and expertise in delivering a high-quality service, through monitoring standards and ensuring good working practices.  

 

Working in a supervisory role, you will use your excellent communication skills to work effectively within the Catering Team and ensure that all catering checks and stock is maintained. Through delegation of duties and performance management you will support the catering staff, and future catering staff through effective induction training.

 

With your experience of working within a catering environment and technical knowledge of food and menu preparation, this role offers reward and development for the right candidate.
