Leodis Support Service

The Leodis Support Service is based at Woodkirk Academy, providing additional guidance and support for all students and families across Leodis Academies Trust.

We work closely with pastoral staff in the Academies to provide ‘early help’ using a wide range of additional support services, which include:

  • family support (one-to-one and parenting groups);
  • emotional health and wellbeing;
  • counselling;
  • as well as access to external commissioned services and resources;

We offer support to address all issues which may affect family functioning, wellbeing and act as a barrier to education.

We have a strong partnership with Children’s Social Work Services, and our own Safer Schools Police Officer, which allows us to respond positively to children, young people and their families, who are experiencing difficulties and where there may be safeguarding concerns.

We are also committed to sharing information about as many local activities as possible, for example, through the Youth Service and Breeze, both during term-time and throughout the school holidays, to enable children and young people to have more positive experiences in their free time. Our Activities page will be updated regularly with all of the latest events and activities available.

Meet the Leodis Support Service Team

Victoria Hayden

Leodis Support Service Co-Manager and Administrator

Victoria Hayden is the administrator for Leodis Support Service and has held this role since September 2017. Prior to this, Victoria was the administrator for Ardsley and Tingley Cluster, which was part of Children’s Services and in total she has been involved with the Leodis Academies Trust schools for over seven years, amassing plenty of knowledge, contacts and experience along the way.

Victoria is passionate about providing a service for young people and their families in the local community, to help overcome any difficulties or barriers which prevent them from having a positive experience during their early life and time at school.

Victoria also assists with SEN administration, which gives her an insight into some of the challenges and adjustments that some children require in order to help them to fulfil their potential.

Nikki Power

Nikki is our Family Support Worker, holding this position since April 2019.  Prior to this she was a Family Links Mentor and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead in another school.

She has previously worked as a Social Work Assistant and Project Worker within Social Care.
